Just watched “Hostel” again, for the hundredth time, and realized you were on the soundtrack. “The Love Scene”. Perfect tune for the scene. That’s probably why I didn’t realize it was you before, because it fit so well.

I got to tell you we had some great concerts over here, but ever since I saw “Jim’s” question last year (aug 09) about you Kelli, coming over to Canada, I’m now wondering if it will ever happen? Im’ sooooo looking forward to it if you ever make it down our way here. Your style of music is welcomed here.In the US I think hiphop got to their heads a bit much lol ! (no offence guys) ^_^

Just read a screenplay called “Janus” by a writer named Christopher Gleason on the Zoetrope website. It’s the story of a kid on an extended roadtrip; does a great job of capturing the “Grateful Dead”, “Phish” hippie culture. (In my opinion anyway, admittedly not the most informed one.)

Thought you might be interested in taking a look. It would mean joining their writers workshop.

I was just in a conversation with a fellow screenwriter from Ireland about writers, influences, etceteras.

I wanted to recommend one of the writers that you suggested to me in response to my first posting here but I see that my first posting has been removed and so has your reply with list of five books you suggested I read and so I can’t.

Do you happen to have a copy of my first posting or your reply saved off-site? Is there any chance you can re-post it?

Or would you send it to my email address? (I can update that info if needed.)

As predominately a metal head and aspiring musician i read your article on your inspirations and what your creative process means stuff like that. The part about listening to all kinds of music and really listening, i took that part to heart and have been listening to some of the links on your facebook, those spiral awards (which i honestly think you were far under rated in that group) much of this type of music i find to be folkish? i say that simply because i don’t have the vocabulary in this genre. i have approached this with an open mind and consider myself to be lucky for that. some of what i am saying is if you can reach me with your music you can reach anybody. i said i am an aspiring musician (guitar player) which is funny because i am soon to be 44, i used to have a job but i gave up all that nonsense, and if there is more articles or whatever stuff that you are articulating your feelings about music and your creative process i would love to read that. Really anything, i live near wintery cold Chicago and if i get any more bored i might slip into catatonia. well i gotta roll

Was on the American Zoetrope website, Francis Ford Coppola’s company’s site, and watched a preview of his next release “Tetro” starring none other than Vincent Gallo. Knowing that you’re a big fan of his, had to write. And aside from the talented cast, the trailer looks really good. Visually creative, fun.

Can’t wait to buy your next release. Hope it’s soon.

P.S. He does a really good job of creating a virtual creative film, writing community. I, being a screenwriter, have spent much time reading, reviewing scripts. Offering input where I thought it might help. One of many. I know it takes a lot of money to do something like that but I don’t see why it couldn’t be a model for a music based website? By independent artists, such as yourself, for the purpose of inspiring potential future music collaborators? And secondarily, increasing the fanbase for the artists involved. A place to keep current fans involved. Something interactive.

Just a thought.
