Hey Kelli,

I read the recent post by Cataleptic had an idea for a television series that I thought I’d mention in case one of your fans was interested in developing it. I’m too busy with other projects atm.

Basically it’s got something of a “High Fidelity” (the book by Nick Hornsby) vibe to it at least in that the main characters run a music store and are “in the know” musically.

I was thinking it could possible feature musicians such as your bad self.

Currently on US tv there aren’t any shows with a young cast that don’t feature jocks/socialites/vampires/witches. I think it’d be cool to have one punk who is brazenly anarchistic, talented and somewhat self-destructive. currently the characters that most closely fits this description is a 50 something doctor turned prison inmate, HOUSE), and a terminally ill ex High School chemistry teacher turned methamphetamine kingpin, (Breaking Bad). I suppose there is Dexter too but all these are older more desperate characters. Each of those series aside from House is darker than I imagined for this but then again I’m not writing it. The rest of the cast i imagine are a little more stable, but cool in their own ways. The idea needs a lot of work I realize but i think it could be fun.

i remember learning that the hardest thing on punks was punks,
not the system, not cops or anything else
but people saying anarchy is impossible because…or ####### ORGANIZERS anally setting things up…the greedy people with no vision that ruin everything.
overcontrolling. still, the feeling in the music will matter more.

i will always HATE ClearChannel. for what they did to radio in the years between 2000 and 2010. a certain brainkill prevailed and it reflected in all sorts of culture.

of course the closed mind will say “way to rant,” derisively as if to be the psychic vampire that sucks the relevance out of the statement.

that’s the republican tactic of late, the fascist tactic.

but a rant is an incoherent statement…a closed mind can choose to refuse to comprehend—and then say that anything that fails to reflect the agenda that the closed mind wishes stated to be a rant…

...add to that the way that greed assaults minds with soundbites and attempts to enforce short attention spans…

when punk seemed to begin for me it had been going on. but it was the dead kennedys that woke me up—pointing out that Reagan was the Enemy and The Evil and stupid and brutal and ugly one, all in one. and it was true.

then jello clearly “changed, man, you forgot what it was all about,”

in a ####### courtroom suing his bandmates for what?
because he got blinded by a little fame and money and completely forgot what it was about. a certain sort of success can ruin people…it’s more than just greed and bright lights. it’s integrity, an idea of integrity, something inside

punk rock has always been a form of joke…but when corporate mentalities came to take over…

some people have always recognized this.

i know that someone might want to come up and say that this is a manifesto. i am just gonna say—they are skimming real fast because they care more about what they want to project than the idea i have shared—i just want to say I HATE YOU, I ####### HATE YOU to that person, so maybe they will shove the idea of the word “manifesto” BACK UP THEIR ASS…

anarchism was around for decades, centuries before punk rock, cock rock, #### rock, crack rock or elvis, before JAZZ, anarchy existed as an idea of intellectual autonomy and personal freedom…

Im a fan in the U.S. (southern California) do you think we will ever get to see you play LIVE out here. I ve been wanting to see you sing live since back in the sneaker pimps days , now Im already 40 and havnt seen a live show yet!
also Im an artist and a printer , I noticed no shirts in my size except for red (which I already have) and Id love one in black.

hello kelli,

just wanted to tell you i enjoy your music and professionalism. i compare you to radiohead, whereas you were able to completely change the musical style you were performing, and excelled in both formats. looking forward to the new stuff, hopefully you can tour the states, especially here in california, on your next tour. also, i know you have been playing music for quite some time. i was looking for advice on how you have stayed motivated over the years. in my genre, i have been experiencing burnout. i have toured england 3 times, mostly the southern part, such as bournemouth, exeter, portsmouth, southampton, fareham. i really enjoy performing, but i just can’t seem to get motivated anymore. any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats! Have to check “Keibetsu” out, now. Doesn’t Keibetsu refer to the huge business groups they have in Japan? Of course by the looks of the HOT photo I have to say it’s not the typical sort of business.

Also, I just finished the sci-fi script rewrite i’ve been complaining about. Turned out fun…fun in a writerly way, it’s not a “fun” story, kind of tragic actually. LOL

Perhaps that’s why it took so long to finish it, I’m much more the comedy writer. Adult? Who me? LOL

Aside from the music, hope things are going well for you.
