Willow’s Song

After reading Kelli’s new journal entry “The Savages”, I was surprised that she’s doing a new cover version of Willow’s Song.  Out of all the songs on Becoming X, I loved “How Do” the most, and later when I heard “Johnny”, I loved it as well.  It was years later when after some researching, I found out that both songs were covers from “The Wicker Man”.  I thought Kelli’s voice fit perfectly with the folk ballads at the time, and now with her current direction with Rocking Horse, I cannot think of anything better.  ~Thank you Kelly; you managed to fulfill an unspoken request.
P.S. - While I still have yet to watch the original 1973 film, it’s defiantly on my to-do list.

I just finished posting a comment on that section. On Kelli’s old site, I used to request over and over that she cover “Willow’s Song”, but the Pimps version (How Do), during her Tigermouth album, and during Psychic Cat. I’d like to think that my constant nagging got through to Kelli and she is covering this song because of my many requests (I know, I know, not likely, but I can dream right? lol). This acoustic version is going to be so cool. I can’t wait to hear it.

and it is good isn’t it?
am waiting for the full album to arrive so only have the Savages single to listen to and it’s been on constant repeat all evening
her voice still matches this song as perfectly as it did all those years ago on Becoming X
