Kelli,
During writing successive drafts of a screenplay with the purpose of cutting fifteen pages but succeeding in adding twenty pages (I have since gained control of the situation but it was looking iffy for a while there)
I started listening to the Jazz great Charles Mingus’ “Meditation on Integration” performed by the Lincoln Center Jazz ensemble and thought of you.
It’s got a lot of flute which reminded me of Rocking Horse. It’s a jazzy sound of course not like Rocking Horse at all, but it got me wondering what your take on it would be. Rocking Horse turned jazz, and added to the mix, your vocal stylings. Thought it could be great.
Also thought, that your take on Morricone sounding music could be really cool.
I’ve also in my spare-time—not much of it but?—and this may make me sound the complete buffoon, begun watching ‘Spin Spin Sugar’ on Youtube with the purpose of getting the number of views up over one-million. Why you ask? Because it’s a crying shame that a tune that great, with a video that cool doesn’t have at least one million views.
Especially, when there are so many boring videos for bland tunes with a million views or more. Viva Le Rock ‘N Roll!! (Or in this case sultry Trip-Hop!)
Enjoy the Summer. The festival photo’s look great.
Bryan
P.S. Still working on that poem i intend to post. not that you’re holding your breath or have been disappointed by my tardiness. It’s just that I claimed to be writing one in one of my other postings and haven’t posted it yet.
