Back on the Train

I’m on my way back to Birmingham now for a few weeks. I feel a mixture of excitement and hope and a real good feeling about the music. It’s been a great few weeks working with Max and I feel like the songs are shimmering with the possibilities.
We have this time to reflect now and re energize. We have a hell of a lot to do and I know time is gonna fly by, good to have all the guitars down though.
It’s a strange feeling to be finally making the next album, after three years of writing and traveling and learning and wondering if I would make another record,I’m finally putting it all together with Max to make as truthful and beautiful a musical tapestry as possible.
It’s quite a fascinating day. Little whirlwinds of snow dance about the beautiful country side and the sheep look quiet and cold.
I’m listening to Sufjan Stevens again, suddenly the snow gives way to sunshine and soon after, snow again.
