Hanging Out with Woody Aplanap and Jon Niemann in L.A.

Woody is a soulful guy full of good vibes and great talent. We were lucky enough to have seen one of his live shows a couple of years back and hung out with him after the gig.
As we were in town, we knew we had to look him up and do some music together.
We were in luck, Woody was in L.A. he’s often out of town playing with other artists such as Trilok Gurtu or Lauryn Hill.
Woody swings by in his van and tells us that we can go to his friends’ place to mess around with some music.

Woody’s friend turns out to be Jon Niemann, a super cool dude who plays wicked organ.

What a cool studio Jon has too! It’s like a neat little chapel for music that he had built special. We were so knocked out by how cool his place is and we had a lot of fun together.
We played all day and got a few ideas down, Woody has a wicked way of singing and playing the guitar and we were so happy to hang out with him and Jon for a couple of days.
