New Beginnings

I am beginning this journal today as I am excited and optimistic in a way that I haven’t been for some time. I approached the composer Max Richter in December, to ask if he would produce my next album. Max has agreed and we will begin recording in March.
These last few years, I have wondered when I would be ready to make another record. I have been writing and writing and trying to find a way to make something of real beauty and meaning.
Now I know that I’ll be making another record with the songs that I have chosen from the many that I have written by time’s parade of camp fires, moonlight, sun filled days and winter afternoons, I can hardly contain my happiness. Max Richter is such a great composer, I am absolutely thrilled that he wants to work with me on this record.
I feel that we can make a beautiful album together. We will and all of the days and nights spent wondering and writing and singing and playing these songs will be made sense of at last.
I’m no longer signed to a record company, I feel that this will be a very interesting journey. I have searched and searched for the right person to make this record with and he has said yes. That is a very wonderful feeling and I can’t wait to get started!
There is so much to do now though, so much to think about, I want this record to be a thing of great depth and magic and every part of it should be special.
