Crazy Butterflies!

11 September 2008

I have been in London in the rehearsal studio for the last few weeks, with Jane South (on Flute) and Peter Shoulder (on acoustic guitar). We have been rehearsing songs from my new Rocking Horse album to play live and I am really excited to be working with such imaginative, open hearted and wonderful musicians.

It is such a great time right now, I feel real hope and optimism about playing these songs live and I deeply hope we can play as many places as possible, oh to be on the road again after all these years would be wonderful.

We will be playing a support gig on the 15th September, supporting Jess Morgan, a very talented artist, at The Source Below in Soho, London. It will be the first gig I’ve played in years!

I’m feeling a mixture of excitement, nervousness, crazy happy feelings and butterflies gone mad right now. It seems silly to be feeling so riotously anxious happy and silly but it really does feel so exciting to be playing live again and I want so desperately for it to go well.

Mind you, the nature of live shows is unpredictable and bizarre as life itself so we will have to wait and see!

Jane and Peter are such fine musicians that I am very much looking forward to the gig.
This music is so different to my earlier work, I’m very curious to see how people react to it! The bar we’re playing at is tiny, so it should be a very intimate interesting gig. Favicon Bookmark on   Digg Favicon Bookmark on Digg   Reddit Favicon Bookmark on Reddit
