Photos From the Moseley Folk Festival

11 September 2009

We have now added photos from the wonderful Moseley Folk Festival to the photos section of this site. So if you couldn’t be there on the day do come and have a look see! Click here to see images. It was a wonderful day and I was so pleased that my home town Birmingham has been blessed with such a fantastic music festival.
We played the Lunar Stage which is an off shoot of the fantastic Lunar Society, which promotes the more esoteric folk acts night at The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath Birmingham.

Janice Long was introducing the bands and very kindly asked us to play some acoustic tracks for her BBC WM show which we did on the afternoon. We played Heaven’s Door, Willow’s Song and Water Under The Bridge.
Later on as twilight descended, we took to the stage and performed to a very lovely and attentive audience. Beth Orton was in the crowd and I was very happy to see her lovely face. It was our first gig with our new guitarist, Moss Freed. It went very well and we all enjoyed ourselves on stage.
After the show, we met up with some old friends and some new ones, amongst them were Michael from the mighty and wonderful band Circulus and Paul from Beneath The Oak and Marc Roberts from Zeuk.
Night fell and we enjoyed wandering around the festival and finally watching Beth Orton’s set. It has been a long time since I saw Beth play live and I enjoyed listening to her. A lovely end to a wonderful day.
