SF Music Intensive San Francisco 16th -18th October 2009

16 September 2009

I am very happy to announce that I will be presenting a class at the first ever SF Music Intensive course in San Francisco October 2009.
The course takes place at Fort Mason with accommodation at The Fisherman’s Wharf from 16 -18th October 2009.
My contribution to the weekend is a class called ’ Singing and Song Writing for the Musically Illiterate’. We will focus on practical ways to approach singing and song writing with exercises and advice that will help participants to get the most out of their creative work and environment.

I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone involved and learning something myself as well as sharing what I have learned so far as a singer and song writer. I love San Francisco and I am delighted to be returning there to begin my journey with this intimate and exciting learning experience.

There are some great people instructing the various courses on lots of different aspects of the music industry, from performance to song writing, music licensing and live touring. Tutors include Bonnie Hayes Caroline Aiken, Jenny Kerr and Dan Healy.

The SF Music Intensive is organized by musicians for musicians. It’s one of the best courses I have seen available to those interested or involved with song writing and making music and I am thrilled to have been invited to take part.

The course will end with the course presenters putting on a relaxed unplugged type of acoustic show at Yoshi’s, on the 18th October, where they will perform a few stripped down versions of their songs, everyone is welcome to this.

It is possible to attend single days or attend the full course and stay at The Fisherman’s Wharf, whatever suits you best. You can save if you register your place before 30th September.

I very much hope that some of you will be able to make it along to the first ever SF Music Intensive in San Francisco this October. Should be fun!
